Founder of Esquerre Accounting Professional Corporation, Dorothee was raised in France, where she earned her High School Diploma with a specialization in mathematics, graduating with the highest honors. She later moved to Quebec and completed a Bachelor of Business and a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Accounting at HEC Montreal, receiving the Excellent Honor award in her field. She became a CPA-CA Auditor in 2014.

     She began her career at Grant Thornton, where she learnt best practices and broad industry exposure. She thrived in a demanding environment that prioritized high-quality work and strict adherence to deadlines.

     Then she was offered a position in Recovery & Reorganization (Grant Thornton), where she worked closely with small businesses to navigate financial challenges—managing tight cash flows, liquidating assets to generate urgent funding, and analyzing financial scenarios to improve solvency.

     Seeking to apply strategies internally, then she worked in private and public sectors, including Pursuit and the Town of Banff. There, she developped strong relationships with operations staff, managers, directors, board of directors. With them, she built budgets exceeding $50M, improved processes, implemented internal controls and complex accounting standards, and oversaw software upgrades.

Alongside her active professional, athletic, and family life, Dorothee has consistently dedicated her financial expertise to the community for over 15 years. She has volunteered as Treasurer and served on Finance Committees for various non-profit organizations, supporting their missions with strong financial leadership.

     Known for her work ethic, technical skills and performance, Dorothee now brings her expertise to a diverse client base in Bow Valley and across Alberta.
